Experience design doesn’t have to begin when people go somewhere extraordinary. It can begin when they come home.
WITHIN Melbourne is an original SCstudio creative concept exploring a new approach to residential living, where architecture, hospitality, landscape, brand and experience design come together to create something more considered than a traditional property development.
The concept asks a simple question: what if the principles used to create memorable destinations and immersive environments were applied to the places we experience every day? The result is a vision for contemporary Melbourne living shaped around wellbeing, connection, nature and a stronger sense of place.
Creative Direction • Concept Development • Experience Design • Logo Design • Brand & Visual Identity • Key Art (AI Enhanced)
Residential developments are often communicated through familiar visual and architectural conventions. For WITHIN, the opportunity was to look beyond the building itself and define a richer experience around how people discover, understand and ultimately connect with a place they may one day call home.
SCstudio established a clear creative proposition around the idea of “A new world of living, within Melbourne”, positioning the project at the intersection of residential development, hospitality, landscape and experience design. The concept deliberately moves away from spectacle, instead imagining thoughtful environments that support everyday life and make arrival, movement, interaction and belonging feel more meaningful.
The Possibility stage is where SCstudio uses concept art to make an emerging idea visible.
For WITHIN, this meant building a believable creative world before every architectural, brand or digital decision had been resolved. AI-enhanced key art was used alongside creative direction and experience design thinking to explore architecture, landscape, communal spaces, arrival moments and the overall emotional character of the development.
Concept art becomes more than an illustration of an idea at this stage. It acts as a creative testing ground, helping define the atmosphere, materiality, guest journey and visual language that can inform everything that follows.
Through this process, WITHIN evolved into a cohesive residential experience rather than simply a collection of buildings, with nature, hospitality and social spaces woven into the way people move through and experience the development.
The ideas established through concept development were then translated into a broader design system across brand and visual identity, digital experiences and environmental signage.
A distinctive WITHIN Melbourne identity was developed to feel contemporary, architectural and understated, creating a visual language capable of moving naturally between physical and digital touchpoints. The brand was explored across mobile interfaces and property discovery experiences, extending the customer journey beyond conventional real estate marketing and considering how the relationship with WITHIN could begin long before a resident arrives on site.
Within the physical environment, the same thinking informed signage and wayfinding concepts, including refined architectural signage integrated with landscape and material finishes.
Together, these applications demonstrate the role of the SCstudio process: Possibility creates the vision, while Transformation gives that vision a consistent expression across brand, digital and place.
WITHIN Melbourne is an exploration of how experience design can influence the environments we inhabit every day.
It demonstrates how an original idea can move from concept art into an interconnected ecosystem of architecture, landscape, identity, digital experience and environmental communication, all guided by one central thought:
Experience design doesn’t have to begin when people go somewhere extraordinary. It can begin when they come home.

Local café in the heart of Brunswick.
Juanito’s is a neighbourhood café with a loyal local following, known for good coffee, warm hospitality and its deceptively simple rolls. SCstudio created a bold visual identity that captures the café’s honest, uncomplicated character while giving the brand a distinctive presence across signage, packaging, apparel and digital platforms.
Logo · Brand Identity
The challenge was to create an identity that felt as genuine and approachable as the café itself. Juanito’s menu and experience are intentionally simple, with regular customers often greeted by name and order, so the brand needed to feel confident without becoming overly polished or corporate.
We developed a playful typographic logo inspired by classic collegiate lettering, giving Juanito’s a strong, instantly recognisable voice. Its stacked composition and graphic outlines created a flexible system that could shift in scale and application, from coffee cups and staff uniforms to storefront signage and social content.
The completed identity turned Juanito’s everyday touchpoints into a cohesive brand experience. Bold, friendly and slightly nostalgic, the visual language reflects the café’s personality while helping it stand out within Brunswick’s busy hospitality scene. The result is a brand that feels deeply local, memorable and perfectly at home among the community that has embraced it.

Creating one clear visual language for a complex venue.
Marvel Stadium is one of Australia’s largest entertainment venues, welcoming millions of guests across sporting events, concerts and major live experiences. SCstudio partnered with the Stadium Operations team to develop a comprehensive family of maps and evacuation signage that could serve public, operational, premium and accessibility needs across both existing and newly renovated areas of the venue.
The project included 17 overall map types and more than 100 evacuation signs distributed across five levels, creating a cohesive system that supports safer navigation, clearer communication and more consistent venue operations.

Aligning a complex venue around one direction
Marvel Stadium had evolved over time, with existing infrastructure operating alongside newly renovated sections of the building. This created a complex mix of spatial conditions, operational requirements and stakeholder priorities.
The first challenge was to define a strategy that could bring these different environments together. We worked closely with the Stadium Operations team to understand how information needed to function for visitors, staff, hirers, suppliers, emergency services and premium guests.
This process established a clear hierarchy for the system, identifying what information was essential, how it should be organised and where consistency was critical. Regulatory requirements, emergency procedures, accessibility considerations and existing venue standards were consolidated into one coordinated design approach.
Building a flexible system for many audiences
Rather than treating each map as an isolated graphic, we developed a shared visual language that could adapt across the entire stadium.
The system was applied to 17 overall maps, including:
- Public-facing venue maps
- Hirer and supplier back-of-house maps
- Premium suite maps
- First aid maps
- Accessibility maps
The same design principles were then extended across more than 100 evacuation signs covering five levels of the venue.
Colour coding, iconography, information hierarchy and location markers were carefully coordinated to make each map easy to interpret while allowing individual signs to respond to their specific location and audience. This created a flexible family of communication tools rather than a patchwork of disconnected solutions.
Turning venue complexity into confident navigation
The completed system transformed a highly detailed collection of venue information into a clear and cohesive experience.
Visitors can more easily understand where they are and how to reach key destinations. Staff, suppliers and hirers have maps tailored to their operational needs. Emergency information is presented consistently throughout the venue, supporting faster recognition and safer decision-making.
By aligning multiple stakeholders around a unified strategy, the project also created a stronger foundation for future updates. New spaces, operational changes and revised information can now be incorporated without losing the integrity of the overall system.
The result is more than a collection of maps. It is an integrated navigation and safety framework that helps Marvel Stadium communicate clearly across every level of the venue.

Qiddiya
Qiddiya Gaming & Esports District
Limited Edition Posters & Vinyl
Created for Qiddiya City’s Gaming & Esports District, this limited-edition collection of posters and vinyl records brought the energy, imagination and culture of gaming into the physical world. Qiddiya is developing a dedicated gaming and esports district designed to bring together global competitions, gaming communities and immersive experiences, making the project an opportunity to create something that felt as bold and collectible as the worlds it represented.
Working in collaboration with legendary illustrator Hugh Fleming, we developed a series of richly detailed artworks inspired by distinctive gaming worlds and experiences. Each composition was designed with the visual impact of classic entertainment key art, while forming part of a cohesive Qiddiya collection across both large-format posters and vinyl record packaging.
Produced as limited-edition promotional pieces for international gaming events, including Tokyo Game Show, the collection was available exclusively from the Qiddiya stand. Rather than traditional event merchandise, the posters and records were conceived as objects worth seeking out and keeping, extending Qiddiya’s presence beyond the exhibition floor and giving fans a tangible piece of its emerging gaming universe.
The result is a collection that sits somewhere between campaign, artwork and memorabilia: highly visual, deliberately collectible and rooted in the culture of gaming. It helped translate Qiddiya’s ambition to create a global destination for gaming and esports into something immediate, physical and memorable.

Making complex logistics technology clear, distinctive and ready to move.
Centvis develops cloud-based software for the international freight forwarding and logistics industry. Its team brought deep operational experience and sophisticated digital capability, but needed a brand that could communicate that value simply and confidently.
The challenge was to create a clear position within a complex, highly competitive market, while making Centvis feel professional, innovative and easy to work with.
Brand Strategy · Visual Identity
Website · Digital Product Design
CLARITY
Centvis was entering a traditional industry where purchasing decisions are practical, considered and often slow. Broad technology promises would not be enough. Freight forwarders needed to quickly understand what Centvis offered, how it could integrate with their operations and why the team’s industry experience mattered.
The strategy distilled a complex offer into a clear proposition: specialist digital solutions created by people who understand freight forwarding from end to end.
POSSIBILITY
With a stronger position established, the brand could become more than the identity of another software provider.
A distinctive visual language was created around movement, connection and digital transformation. The bold geometric symbol, confident blue and orange palette, supporting imagery and clear messaging gave Centvis a recognisable presence across its identity, website and application.
The system balanced sophisticated technology with the practical, approachable character its customers expected.
TRANSFORMATION
Centvis emerged with a cohesive brand and digital experience that made its expertise easier to understand, its products easier to navigate & its business easier to trust.
The result was a unique position in the marketplace, connecting deep logistics knowledge with contemporary software thinking and giving the company a strong platform for future products, partnerships and growth.
From complex capability to a clear, confident and connected brand.
